Seminar Report

  SEMINAR REPORT Topic: NPTEL As part of the B.Ed curriculum, a seminar on the topic  "NPTEL" , one of the resource centres mentioned in the first unit in the paper EDU 03 – Technology & Communication in Education was conducted on 13 November 2025 at 3:00 pm, under the supervision of Dr. Chitra S. The session was attended by the student-teachers from all the optional subjects, and a PowerPoint presentation was used to present the content effectively. The purpose of the seminar was to introduce NPTEL as an important digital platform included in the first unit and to familiarise students with its relevance in contemporary teacher education.      The presentation covered the basic facts about NPTEL, including its establishment as a joint initiative of IITs and IISc to provide quality online learning opportunities. Children's Day

 Children's Day Celebration   The Department of Social Science organised the Children’s Day Celebration on 14 November at 9:30 am in the college auditorium under the title “Little Roses – Every Child Is a Rose, Blooming With Joy.” Children from the nearby LP school and Anganwadi were invited, and the celebration featured vibrant dance and song performances that made the programme lively and joyful. It was a colourful event filled with smiles, and everyone shared positive feedback. I served as the anchor for the programme, coordinating the flow of events throughout the celebration.

Entrepreneurship Development Club Programme

Entrepreneurship Development Club Programme Smart Teaching, Smart Enterprise – Fostering Innovation in Classroom and Beyond The Entrepreneurship Development Club conducted its programme titled “Smart Teaching, Smart Enterprise – Fostering Innovation in Classroom and Beyond” on 28 October at 10:00 am in the college auditorium. The session was led by Sri Hijas H, Community Lead at Talrop Private Limited, who introduced various teaching tools, AI assistant platforms, and innovative enterprise ideas. The programme concluded with an engaging VR experience for all participants. I delivered the welcome speech and also experienced the VR session, which was truly fantastic.

School Induction Programme

School Induction Programme : A Glimpse Into Our Journey Our five-day School Induction Programme, conducted from 13 to 17 October at RRVGHSS Kilimanoor, was a meaningful and memorable experience that offered us a real glimpse into the life of a school community. From the warm welcome by teachers and students to exploring the campus, classrooms, library, labs, and infrastructure, every moment helped us understand the functioning of a school from within. We observed classes, interacted with teachers, engaged with students, and familiarised ourselves with classroom management and teaching practices.      Throughout the week, we took part in the morning assembly, supported school activities, distributed mid-day meals, and closely watched students preparing for various cultural events. Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration

Sarvodaya 2K25   Gandhi  Jayanthi Celebration   The Department of Social Science – Samaja Samskara organised the Gandhi Jayanthi programme titled “Sarvodaya 2K25 .” The celebration was held on 3 October at 9:30 am in the college auditorium. The event featured a commemorative speech, a quiz competition and an essay writing competition, reflecting the values of Mahatma Gandhi. I served as the anchor for the programme, guiding the proceedings smoothly from start to finish.

Retreat

 Retreat The Retreat programme was held on 17 September at Ashan Memorial, Thonnakkal, following the visit to the monument. Students were divided into ten groups, each guided by a mentoring teacher. Every group presented a variety of performances, providing a platform for all students to showcase their talents.      I performed a skit and a short play featuring scenes inspired from movies with my group, making the day even more memorable.

Onam Celebration

  Onam Celebration🌸 Teacheronam Thakarthonam 2K25 “Teacheronam Thakarthonam 2K25” marked the college’s Onam celebrations for 2025. The festivities began on 25 August 2025 with a vibrant flashmob as part of the inauguration. The main celebration on 27 August 2025 included vadamvali, chendamelam, thiruvathira, group song, Malayali Manka, sadya and other colourful events that brought the spirit of Onam alive on campus.      I took part in the inauguration flashmob and also performed in the Thiruvathira, contributing to both days of celebration.

Independence Day

  INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION The Independence Day celebration on 15 August 2025 was conducted with great enthusiasm on campus. The day’s programme included the special assembly, flag hoisting, group dance, group song and impressive tableaux. The poster-making competition and quiz competition were conducted on the previous day as part of the celebrations.      I took part in the tableau performance and also served as one of the coordinators for both the quiz competition and the poster-making competition, contributing to the smooth conduct of the events.

Hiroshima Day

  SANTHI: ECHOES OF HOPE Hiroshima Day As part of the B.Ed curriculum, Samaja Samskara, the Social Science Department of Sree Narayana Training College, Nedunganda, organised a subject association activity titled “SANTHI: Echoes of Hope” to observe Hiroshima Day. Held on 6 August 2025 at 9:30 am in the college auditorium, the programme centred on the theme “Teaching Peace, Living Hope: Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki as a Tribute to Resilience and Responsibility.”      The event featured an introductory speech, recitation, skit, video presentation, caption-writing competition, paper crane making tutorial and a peace pledge.       I narrated the touching story of the girl Sadako Sasaki, a young girl from Hiroshima who began folding paper cranes while battling leukaemia caused by atomic and presented a crane-making tutorial, inviting everyone to reflect on hope and peace through the symbolic act of folding a paper crane.

Ice-Breaking Session

  Ice-Breaking Session:  "Campus Conversations – Your First Hello" The first programme of the 2025–27 B.Ed batch of Sree Narayana Training College, Nedunganda was held on 23 July 2025 at 10 a.m. in the college auditorium. The ice-breaking session, titled 'Campus Conversations: Your First Hello', was led by Mr. Biju Mavelikkara, Master Trainer at NalTER, Thiruvananthapuram, and coordinated by the IQAC of the college. The session was lively and engaging, helping students get acquainted and comfortable in their new environment.  It concluded with a feedback-sharing segment, where participants, including myself, reflected on the experience.
